WANTED: Robyn Hood (And Her Merry Men & Women)Doors open at 5 p.m.; show starts at 7 p.m.

Empty lot at 9th & D Streets

The Colonel Mustard Amateur Attic Theatre Company

The musical will be shown August 25, 26, and 27 with doors opening at 5 p.m. and the show starting at 7 p.m. Some background information: We're stretching the boundaries of backyard theatre again and bringing you a summer show of historical proportions! The Colonel Mustard proudly presents its 24th original production . . . "WANTED: Robyn Hood (And Her Merry Men & Women)" follows a mysterious female outlaw in a Western territory oppressed by its cruel and greedy governor. The story explores many Western tropes about the nature of heroism, the role of women in society, and social hierarchy. More than anything, Robyn Hood is a fun adventure for people of all ages, presented in a particularly unique fashion. The musical’s staging is presented as theatre in the round. As such, audience members will enjoy a unique perspective sitting around the stage as cast members act out the many legends of the town’s heroine, Robyn Hood. *** The Mustard House is located at 920 “D” Street. This is the headquarters for the nonprofit, and occasionally it serves as a stage, storage area, and recording studio, as well. Built in 1887, it is the eleventh oldest house in Lincoln. A variety of people involved with the Mustard’s productions have lived in the house since 2007. All of the musicals, attic plays, and backyard performances get done with hours upon hours of planning, writing, meeting, talking, and laughing. Many people put in an enormous amount of hard work for these shows, which come together due to their passion for the arts. Throughout the months and weeks leading up to large-scale Mustard productions, you will no doubt find any number of Mustardians building large set pieces, painting unique props, fashioning colorful masks, acting out various scenes for a rehearsal, eating a shared meal, or working together on a side project. Most aren’t paid to do this work, and no one is charged to attend a Mustard show. The Mustard operates completely on donations of time, talents, and money.
